In the expert talk, Marius gives an overview of the tasks and objectives of the fluid mechanics group at Voith Hydro. The main task is to provide internal customers, e.g. hydraulic designers, with reliable methods for calculating complex flow fields in turbines, generators and auxiliary components. Typical application examples and modelling approaches will be presented.
