Chiemi Nakano is a sector economist in IFC, working on the ex-ante development impact assessment of IFC’s investment operations. In this session, she will discuss IFC’s development impact system Anticipated Impact Measurement and Monitoring (AIMM), which was implemented in 2017 to help operationalize IFC’s new strategy (“IFC 3.0”). Chiemi will first take the audience through the structure of AIMM and how it is embedded in IFC’s day-to-day investment work, while showcasing the impact drivers of IFC’s operations. She will close the session with an interactive discussion on how new comers to the team can contribute to IFC’s impact to realize shared prosperity and poverty reduction.
