Jean-Rémy (JR) Marchand works at Novartis since 2018. He initially joined the company as a postdoc in the computer-aided drug design group of the research chemistry department (NIBR GDC) and transitioned to a permanent role in February 2021. He is applying a wide variety of computational methods, from AI to physics-based modelling, to impact the design of drug molecules in medicinal chemistry projects. JR originally studied Pharmacy in Paris and moved to Switzerland in 2013 for undertaking a PhD in computational structural biology at the University of Zürich.
