Process engineer – coating technologies

OperationsBerlin (Berlin, Germany)

As a Process Engineer for Coating, you play a key role in ensuring stable, efficient, and future‑ready manufacturing processes. Your responsibilities include:

  • Process ownership: Independently manage assigned coating/bonding processes; take over additional processes with support from senior engineers or line management.
  • Monitoring & optimization: Apply Lean and Six Sigma methods (e.g. SPC) to drive continuous improvement in yield, cost, and cycle time.
  • Implement improvements: Execute simple optimizations independently and support more complex process changes in line with TGP.
  • Availability & maintenance: Ensure process availability and define maintenance plans (excluding operational maintenance activities).
  • Documentation & training: Create and maintain manufacturing documentation (AAWs, REZs, work instructions) and train production teams as a certified trainer.
  • NPI & technologies: Adapt existing processes, take over new bonding technologies, and contribute to NPI, PCCSIMs, and ramp‑up projects.
  • Risk, decisions & collaboration: Participate in FMEAs and ECRs, support equipment procurement, and collaborate closely across production, engineering, D&E, and R&T.
