Engineering a career you won't just survive until FridayIn 1970, Ove Arup described two ways of looking at work. One, which he credited to Henry Ford: work is a necessary evil, and real life happens in your free time. The other: make your work interesting and rewarding, so you enjoy both. His verdict: "We opt uncompromisingly for the second way."
That speech is still required reading for everyone who joins Arup. In this live session, three people at very different stages of their Arup careers, from engineering to Arup University, show you what it looks like in practice: the projects they chose, the turns they never planned, and how they built careers they actually look forward to on a Monday.
